How to compare hotel rates without missing the conditions
A hotel rate is a bundle of room, occupancy, meals, cancellation, payment timing, taxes and property conditions. Compare the bundle—not only the headline number.

Start with the same room and occupancy
Two offers can look similar while referring to different room categories, bed configurations or guest limits. Confirm the room name, adults, children and any extra-bed rule before comparing price.
Compare the final payable amount
Check whether taxes, resort or destination fees and other compulsory charges are already included. A lower first-screen price is not better value if mandatory costs appear later.
Read cancellation and payment timing together
Refundability, cancellation deadlines, prepayment and pay-at-property terms can materially change the value of the booking.
Use location as part of the price
A cheaper hotel far from the purpose of the trip can create more transfer cost and lost time. Compare neighbourhood and transport as part of the decision.
Compare the complete rate and the conditions that apply to your exact dates, guests and room. Property and rate conditions can vary by offer.
